Soccer...

Today Morgan had her first soccer game and boy did she do great!! She really hustled, took charge of the ball, and had a great time! The final score was 9-4 and Morgan got three goals and 1 assist! She still says she likes dance class better...but if I have to take a side...she seems a natural at soccer. She has rhythm and loves to move to music, but my bet is on soccer. We shall see. I forgot my camera today, except for my cell phone, so I will have to post pictures after next weekends game.

The long awaited....First day of Kindergarten!!

Josh, Morgan, Kelsey and Danny...Danny and Kelsey are supposed to walk Josh and Morgan to their classrooms. What good kids!! Josh and Morgan are in two different classrooms. Morgan will know someone in her class though. Which is nice...nothing better than having someone you know in class for a nerve wracking day!!

(I will get a video of her doing it if you have never seen it! I used to do this for my mom when I was a kid and she used to get a kick out of it!)

Hope this isn't how Nancy feels about Brody!! :)

Now you get to experience a family tradition...singing HBD off key!! And we experience my first homemade cherry pie. I even pitted the cherries myself! It was a big hit!! I have cherries frozen for one for Thanksgiving and one for Christmas too!

Two weeks and counting...

Okay...Friday was a rough for me. We received Morgan's welcome letter for kindergarten and her teacher's name, bus schedule, map of the school and supply list. Yeah for Morgan, sad for Mommy. :( I shed my few tears, stating that I can't believe she's old enough to be in kindergarten and even had to call my mommy. She said this is one of the hardest days, being the first day of school and the dropping her off for college.
After I picked her up on Saturday morning, we went to Walmart and picked up her school supplies. Her lunch bag and thermos are both Disney Princess, her refillable water bottle has a pink lid and her sandwich holder is pink too. So she's ready to go!! Only her scissors are purple, as they didn't have pink. AND her backpack is pink too. So my little girly girl will be ready in pink!
Next weekend is tax free weekend, so we will be going clothes shopping along with all the other crazy moms/kids out there, wanting to save a buck!!
Morgan is ECSTATIC about kindergarten starting soon. She asks me on a daily basis when she gets to start at the big kids school. And luckily she will be in class with a little boy that she knows. She will do just fine...it's me that won't. I get teary eyed just thinking about it!!
Of course I will send pictures of the first day of school and hopefully will get a video of her getting on the bus in the morning...as I won't go to school with her...maybe. I might change my mind and meet her at school after she's been on the bus!!! I cried the first day I had to take her to the sitter, cried all the way to work for her first day at daycare (it didn't help that she was crying too) and I am sure I will be a basket case for the first day of kindergarten too!! Sheeze...

Brody is about 18 pounds now, and has the yummiest chunky little thighs. He's five and half months old now and growing like a weed. Like womens clothes, every label maker makes baby clothes fit differently. He's still in some three to six month clothes and the jammies that I bought today, are nine months. He's rolling all over the place and at times scoots. I have been sitting him up and he's getting better at it. He's gotten ahold of Morgan's hair and mine, more than once and holds on for dear life. Morgan just screams "MOM...he's got my hair" and then yanks it out of his hands. And the poor little thing, scares pretty easily. Morgan was in the backseat with him and started growling, rather loudly and it must of scared the daylights out of him because he just started wailing and when I got him out of his seat, he had big ole crocodile tears rolling down his face. I snuggled him for a few minutes and he finally settled down. Poor baby. I thought Morgan was going to start crying. She just felt terrible.
Bob and I are taking a few vacation days here and there, but not going anywhere. We were going to go to KC for the weekend, but it looks like other things around the house have taken precedence financially.
This week is going to be a busy week visiting with some out of town guests. Don, Renee and Olivia are coming in town tomorrow and are picking up Morgan during the day to go to a park so the girls can play for the afternoon. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. Then we are all going out to dinner tomorrow night with Mom and Tom too. Well, not Bob, he has some training to do this Monday night and next for his second job. Poor guy...maybe I will bring him something home.
Then on Wednesday, Jimmy, Nancy, the kids, Glenda, and hopefully Sara and Nolan will be coming over for the day. Hopefully I will remember to break out the camera that day and get some good pictures. This will be only the second sibling of Bob's to meet Brody. Maybe before Brody is too big, he will meet Sheryl and Greg too. And can't forget Grandpa Bob and Grandma Sandy; hopefully it won't be too long before they meet their newest grandbaby!!
Bob and I had date night on Friday night and we were going to see a movie at the dollar show, but it was sold out and basically we spent the next hour and a half, trying to go see another one. I think we spent more time in the car than on an actual date! We still had fun being together, nonetheless.
That's all from here...take care all...

Goodbye green warped door...hello pretty new door!!

A day at Six Flags

Here are some pictures of Sara, Nolan, Bob, Morgan and me at Six Flags. We found out very quickly that Morgan isn't a fan of roller coasters or anything too fast. And Nolan is just the opposite. He would laugh hysterically and want to go faster. Sara even said by the end of the day, he had ridden on the Screaming Eagle. What a brave boy. Morgan is content on the carousel, the train, the Log Flume and Thunder River. Bob and I will have to go to the park by ourselves so we can get our fill of roller coasters. Looks like Brody will be our roller coaster rider. He already loves to go up in the air and act like he's being dropped.

Yes...she liked this one...go figure.
