Poor little boy...

Brody was running around the house today, and hit an air pocket and out of the corner of my eye, in slow motion of course, I see him falling towards the corner edge of the coffee table. Nothing but teeth hit the table. I go running with a wet washcloth and there is blood everywhere and Brody is just crying uncontrollably. Not but a few seconds later, I see something white fall....his top front right tooth...and still I am seeing blood and Bob comes down stairs to see what all the commotion is about. We look as much as we can, and just see blood and a jammed up front tooth. Bob says he will get dressed and go to St. John's and Morgan and I will follow later.
Deep down we knew that the doctors couldn't do anything for baby teeth, but we go anyway. The emergency room doctor looks as Brody's mouth and feels around to see if anything else has gone wrong, and doesn't find anything. After a while, she talks with a pediatric dentist and he says they really won't do anything for baby teeth. We are to expect the the other tooth that was jammed up and backwards will probably turn brown but shouldn't affect the adult teeth.
Brody was still having some bleeding seven hours afterwards, but seemed to be doing fine. The tooth came out root and all. Tooth fairy will be coming early for him! Only have to wait, oh, about five more years until his tooth comes in. And i have already forewarned Bob, I will be having a tooth party when that tooth decides to comes in. So until then, he will look like a hillbilly. But a cute hillbilly!
And Morgan was an awesome big sister today! She doted on him before and after her soccer game as well as after her nap. She played with him for a very long time! I was very proud of her. Lots of giggles between the two of them. Made a mommy's heart grow beyond belief!!

Thankfully Brody is sleeping soundly. Let's hope Bob and I do too. Let's just say, it was a long and stressful day...we are both worn out. I am glad he decided to take the day off and be home with us.

Morgan had a soccer game and from what I understand, it was very chilly. Her team hasn't had the best of track records this season...but she loves to play.

Doggie is barking to come inside...that's all from here...Howard Demiere!

Tubes and Read Right Run Marathon.

Brody has tubes put in this week after having six ear infections since November. When the doctor finished the surgery, he came out and said there was a lot of fluid in his ears, so this should help him feel better. Like most of us, Brody didn't do well coming out of anesthesia. It took him about an hour to get his head clear and fussing the whole time. Poor baby. But after two naps for the day,
he was back to his old self again. And since the tubes, he's been sleeping through the night again! Yeah for Mom...oh I mean...Yeah for Brody!!

Today Morgan participated in the Read, Right and Run 1.2 mile Marathon in Forest Park. We had thunderstorms early in the morning and I wasn't sure if the race would take place or not. But by the time we arrived at the park, the storms were gone. AND THERE WAS MUD!! Let's just say Morgan and I were a bit of a mess by the time the morning was finished. Anyway, they had a closed off course in which only the children were able to run on. I think the announcer said there were 4000 kids participating this year. Morgan has been practicing for this marathon every Tuesday after school in her fitness club, knowing at the end of the session there would be this race. She was one of 25 or so from her school that participated. She was having fun with her friends and I know she enjoys running. I think she enjoys short distance more but she did great! I am proud of her!
