Hospital again...

I was awakened this morning by Miss Morgan whimpering in the bathroom. When I went to check on her, she had been throwing up blood and it was all over the bathroom. It was bright red and eventually dark red...(sorry for the details). I yelled to Bob and he came running and decided to take her to the emergency room. The ER doctor figured out that the scab had fallen off, caused a blood clot and was bleeding into her stomach. Morgan's ENT came in and cauterized it at 5:30AM this morning. They were in and out in about 20 minutes. We came home a little while ago. She's sore in her arm and her throat and is sleeping thanks to Tylenol w/codeine and Tylenol.
Not that this is any new news to us, but yet again, she does NOT like to have a hug on her arm or leg (blood pressure cuff) nor does she like IVs...not that I can blame her. Bob was my hero. He does well under these types of circumstances and prevailed yet once again. He really should become a nurse, but I can't seem to convince him. He takes charge and is clear thinking!! So thanks to my honey, yet again!!
I have her recital to put up later, but right now, since both of the kids are sleeping...that's were I am headed too. It's a long day since 2:30AM.
g'night...

Health update...Morgan's is feeling much better today and her voice has changed noticeably. She doesn't sound like the same girl anymore. It's more of a mature voice... 8(

And Brody...well nothing really new...he's eating, sleeping and going potty...pretty normal stuff!! And he talks and smiles A LOT to Daddy!!

Morgan has full dress rehearsal for her recital tonight. She's definitely feeling up to it. According to her...she's getting BORED with having to stay inside...why does she know this word already??

Bob is feeling the need to go to Bass Pro shop to get ready for his fishing trip. Which means baits and lures, line and poles...strategically placed around the house until the time that he leaves. Who knew that you needed so much stuff to go fishing? I remember when we would go fishing with my grandpa, he had his tackle box and a fishing pole for each of us and a chair for him to sit in. Bob has several poles and at least two HUGE bags of lures and stuff. The kitchen table is usually completely covered when he goes through his "tackle" boxes to figure out what he needs. From my view, he has more than plenty to go fishing, but obviously I don't know what I am talking about. He needs more of "certain" ones. But we will go to Bass Pro shop and Bob and Morgan will go straight to looking at the fish with Brody tagging along and I will wander along in the clothes section and look for camouflage for Morgan. Who knew that girls like camo??

Morgan update...she got through her surgery just fine. She's in a lot of pain in her throat and her arm (from the IV). She's on Tylenol w/Codeine and tylenol every four hours for the next 24-48 hours. We have been told that tomorrow will be worse than today. But she did great!! We have invested in LOTS of ice cream, fudge-sicles and PopIce, Tostitos and Pringles (they recommend lots of salty things to encourage her to drink lots of liquids.

Family updates:

Morgan is going to be five tomorrow and I know I have said it before...where in the world has the time gone?? So Happy birthday a day early to my baby girl!! You are not only beautiful but you are so smart...I am so proud of you!!

And on Monday she is going to have her tonsils out. Since October, she's had strep six times and finally the tonsils can come out. And the two previous years we have dealt with ear infections and two sets of tubes, so hopefully once the tonsils are out, then she will be healthy except for the common cold. Knock on wood

On Brody's 2 month check up, he was up to almost 13 lbs and grown three inches since birth. Never mind that he's 11 weeks old today so that information is a little behind...Better late than never...right?? But he is sleeping about eight hours a night, so I am a happy camper!!

Bob is being the wonderful husband and daddy as usual...so nothing new there. He is going fishing in KY with my uncle the week of the 18th and I know he's excited!! He will catch up with family down there and bring his mom "back to her home state" while he's there too. They should have a good time. I saw the cutest romper that I thought about getting for Brody yesterday..."A bad day fishing with Daddy is better than a day shopping with Mommy."

I still have about two weeks until I have to back into the office. I am lucky to have been home this long. I work about four hours a day at home; Although it's going to be hard to go back, I am thankful that I still have a job!! I am slowly losing the baby weight, although not as quickly as I want, but I know, I know, in due time. Twelve months on (fertility meds) and twelve months off...isn't that right???

Bob and I are planning an day/evening away while Morgan is in Florida in June. This will be our first date since Brody has been born. My mom has agreed to take care of Brody for the overnight...(please sleep well that night Brody). We are heading to Alton, IL and going to Fast Eddies for the evening. And I am sure we will take in some shops over there and probably the Casino for a bit too. I might even agree to do some fishing as well before we head home. :)

Come on summer...we are waiting for you to come!! Take care and love to all...

Some fun photos

Brody's baptism

Sunday May 3rd was Brody's baptism. He was awake and alert (yes I called my son a lert) for the whole baptism. He looked as though he was paying attention to what Pastor Roy said the whole time. And even when he was *sprinkled* Pastor Roy said the water was cold and Brody didn't even flinch...what a good boy!!

Morgan was very proud of her baby brother...You can see her hands on the baptismal stand... I asked her to remove her hands as it looked as though she might have pushed it over on Pastor Roy!! She was so excited that she was able to be up close and personal though and a good as gold for the ceremony.
