Happy Bday Aunt E!

Here is Morgan riding her big girl bike. Nevermind that she got it two Christmas' ago. Nevermind that she's already outgrown it. Nonetheless...she's riding it!! She's such a big girl. A few weeks ago, it was bike day at school and she was the only one that wasn't riding a big bike. I gather she was self conscious about it because when she got home that night, she said, I want to ride my big girl bike!! And there she goes...

Another video of Brody. This one shows him laughing. Too cute not to post.

Bob is off fishing with a friend at the famous Lake 7 at Busch Wildlife Preserve. Chris and Bob left about three hours ago and Dana and her girls came over to play for a few hours. Kylie is 4 and Ashlynn is 15 months old. Morgan and Kylie were playing dress up in princess dresses. I will see if Dana will forward me the pictures of the girls. They were too cute! Ashlynn was busy walking around and wanting to get in the cabinets and wanting to go upstairs the whole time. It was cute! I don't think Dana sat down for more than two minutes at a time. Brody was taking it all in and wondering how he "lucky" he was to be around so much estrogen!!! I think Ashlynn was mesmerized by how little Brody was and she was giving Brody (and me) lots of kisses. And the cutest thing of all....Ashlynn bumps knuckles. I wish I had a picture! Then she wanted to bump knuckles with Brody. We all got a good chuckle over that!! Thanks for coming over to play!!

Thursday during the day, was spent trying to get the ground level for the blow up pool. Let's just say, there was some frustration in that chore. Needless to say, more work still needs to be done before it's level. The rain kind of did the pool in last night.

It was a good 4th of July weekend. Friday Bob cleaned out the garage and the basement. Friday night, Dana and Chris babysat Brody so Bob and I could go to see Transformers. It was a great flick. Bob and I enjoyed ourselves.

Anyway, then on Saturday, Bob went to work for a few hours, I picked up Morgan and we headed back home. Mom and Tom came over for dinner and then we went outside and shot off some fireworks with the family next door before heading the Chesterfield to watch the fireworks. Morgan was more interested in dancing around and being silly than watching the fireworks. Brody did watch some of the fireworks. I wasn't sure if he would or not. Mom, Tom, Bob and and I oohed and ahhhed at the fireworks before the rain came back. Then we headed home and put the kids to bed.

Because we are down to one car, Bob took the car and went to work again for a few hours today so the three of us stayed inside today. I was actually able to get in a few hours of reading, Morgan was vegging out watching tv next to me in bed. Brody must be going through a growth spurt because he had one nap that was four hours and another that was three hours. And he ate like a champ!!

No one can ever say that I am overly observant. Last weekend, in my rush to get to church, I neglected to see our Mazda parked in the driveway and decided to play bumper cars or "rubbing, son, is racing" (from Days of Thunder). And my daughter, in all her glory, "Mommy, why did you hit the other car? Aren't we going to church? I really wanted to go to church. Mommy, why are you upset? I wanted to go to church." God bless Morgan. Not only did I hit the other car, WITH Bob watching, I let my daughter down by not taking her to church. (Side note, ALL day I heard about Morgan wanting to go to church, and why didn't we go.) And yes McWhorters, Bob hasn't let me forget about hitting the other car yet. I don't think I will ever live this one down!!

A five year old and a four month old

Yesterday we took the kids to the doctor. Morgan is 42.5 inches tall and 46 lbs. She can now ride rides at Six Flags!! Woo hoo! Brody is now 15.5 lbs and 26 1/8 inches at four months. They are both growing like weeds. Brody is eating all kinds of different things and Morgan is starting to try a few new things like beans. There hasn't been a food yet that Brody keeps his mouth closed. The doctor laughed when I told him that...he agreed Brody doesn't go without eating... Morgan passed her vision and hearing tests with no problems. She's ready for kindergarten on Aug 17th.
But they both weren't happy at the end of the visit. Morgan received two shots first (she volunteered Brody to go first) and Brody received three shots and the Rotovirus liquid. It was rough for them and for me. We, being Brody, Morgan and I, were happy to leave the office.

Here are some cute videos of Morgan playing with Brody.

Happy Father's day

Bob worked on Father's day which was a bummer. But we had dinner with my stepdad and Mom that night after Bob got off of work. Here are some cute pictures of Daddy and the kids.

True love...

If this isn't true love, I am not sure what is...Brody smiles like this every time Morgan walks in the room and he can see her. She loves to make him laugh!!

A room that glows...

We had told Morgan we would paint her room while she was in Florida. So here is her new room!! It glows, it's so pink!! This video doesn't do the pink justice. Literally, it's the color of Peptobismal!! But she loves it. We also got her a lava lamp!! Her Uncle Vaughn would be so proud!! And of course, it's pink and purple!!

new stuff

Look at my handsome boys

It's a staring contest...

Beautiful 5 year old birthday girl

Nolan, Sara and Morgan

Well, here it is...Brody finally rolled over on Friday! And in the two full days that he's been rolling over, he's finally able to pull his arm out from under himself on Sunday!! And he's scootching his tushy up in the air, as he would to crawl!! You have to wait for a bit before you see him roll over, but he eventually does it! Morgan is so excited every time he rolls over and then she showers him with compliments! What a great big sister!!
And today he had his first fruit, avocado...you should have seen the look he was giving me. Are you kidding me Mom? But he kept opening his mouth for more! It was really cute. Bob couldn't believe that I was actually feed him avocado. Maybe Brody won't be quite the picky eater that Morgan can be at times.
For some reason when I plug our digital camera in, the pictures won't download. So I am waiting, albeit not patiently, for a card reader. So that's why there have been so many videos and no pictures lately. Look for LOTS of pictures when I receive the card reader. Thanks again to Mom for the Flip Video camera...none of this would be possible without her!

Well Brody is calling for me to go and play with him...TTFN (ta ta for now)

Brody loves to eat...

Brody beginning to eat cereal...

Here's a good one ...Morgan feeding Brody tonight at dinner. I am not sure which is funnier...watching Brody eat or watching the face Morgan makes when she feeds him!! I can't wait until he starts on veggies next week!! Should be a fun mess!!

Here's our big boy just hanging out with his parents. He had fallen asleep really early and I woke him up so he could eat (and so I wouldn't have to get up too many times in the night). So he's a little wobbly headed...but still really cute nonetheless!! He is SO close to rolling over...when he gets on the floor I get the camera really, hoping to catch it LIVE!! So hopefully there will be a post soon of him rolling over! He is such a good baby!! Even his sitter says so!! We are so blessed!
