Cruise

In the beginning of December Bob and I cruise Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas for 6 days/5 nights. Our ports were Grand Cayman and Cozumel. This was a combination trip of our honeymoon, five year anniversary, my 40th birthday and Christmas all lumped together.

In Grand Cayman, we went to the city of Hell (where I was GOING to mail Christmas cards...but left them aboard the ship...whoops), to the sea turtle farm and then we traveled by boat to a shallow part in the ocean to swim with stingrays. It was amazing! We were able to feed them, pet them and hold them. I wasn't able to take any pictures as my camera wasn't waterproof and I didn't think ahead. For me, that was the best part of the whole trip.Port in Grand Cayman
It tickled me to see Christmas decorations and I was in shorts...I know...I need to get out more!!
Turtle about a month old
In Cozumel, Bob and I went different ways. He went deep sea fishing and there were 5 people on board and only three fish (I think he said wahoos) were caught. I took a Mexican cuisine class, which could have been more appropriately named a dump and pour class. Everything was premeasured, cut, sliced, diced ahead of time. Chef Luis was hysterical and extremely entertaining! After the dump and pour, I spend about an hour on the beach, drinking margaritas and enjoying the ocean/weather for December.

We saw a few shows onboard, a couple of movies, enjoyed the weather and ate like pigs!! It was a nice time.

Bilateral Myringotomy...

In other words, tubes in her ears. Morgan had her third set of tubes put in today. She was loopy and weeping and of course saying funny things. i.e. I had three eyes...how did you get three eyes Mommy? Then on the way home, she was weeping as we didn't have red popsicles like they did at the hospital. No matter how many different times or ways we explained we can go to the store and buy some, "it wasn't the same."

She's doing well, eating red popsicles and watching a movie as we speak. She will be back at school tomorrow!!

Happy Halloween!!

It was a fun evening. Not too many trick or treaters~ at least not as many as last year. Morgan and Bob made it around to all three phases of the subdivision. Brody made it to seven houses. Little Bo Peep really did lose her sheep!

Morgan's pumpkin...thanks to Grandad and Nana for the scooper and knife
Brody's happy face
The only picture of the two of them together! Oh well...maybe next year!!
Love the baby!!
Holy batcake Batman...

Boo at the Zoo on Saturday. Crazy busy!! Not too many animals out. It was my first time at the zoo where I only saw 2 lions, 1 tiger and three bears. That was it. They are tearing out the sea lion area to make a new one, construction happening everywhere. The kids, along with Matt and Missy (thanks for your help) went on the carousel. We saw a few pirate belly dancers and a song or two from the Muny kids. And all the kids went into the Penguin house...too cold for me!! They all had goosebumps when they came out. At least it was a beautiful day outside!~I knew Brody wouldn't wear his sheep costume...so he was a Zoo Keeper. If you could see the shirt, it has little frogs all over it!! :

October 2010

Well, the month has come and almost gone, soccer season is over, the weather is getting cooler and Halloween is right around the corner. Morgan had a great soccer season...she scored more than anyone else on her team and her coach called her the "star player" of the team!! Of course, my buttons were bursting!!
I have one picture from the whole season...how is that possible you ask?? I don't have a good answer. :(One weekend during the month, we had friends over for a fun afternoon. Bob took the day off of work to spend with us. So, here are a few pictures...we failed to get the camera out in time to get everyone :(Oma, Bepaw, the kids and I went to the pumpkin patch on a beautiful warm Sunday afternoon.
Morgan loves cats...
Kernel box instead of a sandbox...this was cool!
This is supposed to be a Dracula...interesting interpretation...what do you expect for $.50?
Some random pictures...

Morgan is doing well in school, it's hard to believe the first quarter is over already. She's really a smart cookie. She's a great speller and a good reader. She is good at math, but she needs to really concentrate. She picks up concepts very quickly and retains them. Looking forward to parent/teacher conferences.
She and Brody have both been sick in the last two weeks. Morgan had a viral bug that kept her with a fever for four days. She was NOT happy about missing school but she did like watching television while lying on the couch. Brody currently has a double ear infection and has been running 103 fever since Friday. Brody has been the doctor twice in three days, two different antibiotics. Hopefully this will be the day that the fever ceases to exist Morgan is feeling much better, although she did have to miss a soccer game two weekends ago. The team said they really missed her! !
My sister and her hubby were in over the weekend and we took some time to go to Gus' Pretzels downtown. Unfortunately, because of Buguloo not feeling well, we didn't spend too much time with them. Morgan was able to go out to lunch with Oma, Bepaw and Beth after her soccer game while I took Brody to the doctor. We are going to have to go back to Gus' and watch them make the pretzels, which they only do until noon. Next time I will try the Salsiccia in a pretzel!!

I will try to do better in updating pictures from Halloween! NO promises though. Be on the lookout for Little Bo Peep and her little black sheep!!

9/27/10

Morgan had a soccer game on Saturday, had a hat trick and the final score was 3-0!! We are so proud and actually some of the parents were happy she showed up for the game!! Her coach said that Morgan really hustles and would like to have her on his team for next season. I would like her to find a team and grow with them over the years. She really enjoys soccer and swimming and we have found...not to do both at the same time. She needs her sleep and among other things going on in her life, one sport a season is enough. I would like to get her into piano soon...time permitting of course. She is doing well in school, has a few moments of talking too much or being silly when she's not supposed to be...NO CLUE where she gets it?? She's reading very well and is starting to figure out math...coins...they are a different story. We need to work on the different coins!

News flash...Bob is going fishing this week...

Brody loves throwing everything...doesn't matter what it is... cups, toys, blankets, food you name it--it gets thrown. And at the sitter, he loves to hit the other kids and then immediately give them a hug and say sorry....Oy the joys of having a boy! Morgan didn't do this...so this is new for me. Any suggestions on curbing the throwing/hitting would be greatly appreciated :D He just smiles we say say no hitting/throwing and continues to do so.

Garage sale went well...we now have money to spend on our cruise. Whew...many things out of the house and the basement has made quite an improvement.

Let's see what else...oh...the house was hit by lightening...No visible damage...just to electronics/breakers and such. We still need to have an electrician come to the house...oh to submit to insurance or not... if we can recover anything from the old computer, I will post pictures from the garage sale...I sure hope it can be salvaged...I have way too many videos which haven't been posted to flipshare or my flash drive...pictures I have...on snapfish...just not videos.

We have another dead tree...going to pick out another one...I swear...we have no luck with trees. In the four plus years we have lived here...I think, in the front yard alone...we have had five trees. Only two have made it. I keep hearing that these last few years have been really hard on trees...but come on!!! I just want trees for heavens sake.

My BFF and I went to see So You Think You Can Dance tour on Saturday night. Good show! We had a great time. If you can get to downtown St. Louis...there are two spots you need to hit. Triumph Grill http://www.triumphgrill.com/ they have amazing stuffed mushrooms and Expresso martinis as well as a good seafood risotto and a turkey and brie sandwich that is to die for... The restaurant centers around Triumph motorcycles...it's very cool. And we discovered Lafayette Fire Co No 1 in Lafayette Square...really good breakfast (everything is fresh) http://www.lafayettefirecompany.com/. Real firefighters work the tables and there is firefighter memorabilia everywhere...most of which is all from the St. Louis and surrounding IL area. I hear it's hopping at night for the bar scene, but family oriented during the day!
