Poor little boy...
Brody was running around the house today, and hit an air pocket and out of the corner of my eye, in slow motion of course, I see him falling towards the corner edge of the coffee table. Nothing but teeth hit the table. I go running with a wet washcloth and there is blood everywhere and Brody is just crying uncontrollably. Not but a few seconds later, I see something white fall....his top front right tooth...and still I am seeing blood and Bob comes down stairs to see what all the commotion is about. We look as much as we can, and just see blood and a jammed up front tooth. Bob says he will get dressed and go to St. John's and Morgan and I will follow later.
Deep down we knew that the doctors couldn't do anything for baby teeth, but we go anyway. The emergency room doctor looks as Brody's mouth and feels around to see if anything else has gone wrong, and doesn't find anything. After a while, she talks with a pediatric dentist and he says they really won't do anything for baby teeth. We are to expect the the other tooth that was jammed up and backwards will probably turn brown but shouldn't affect the adult teeth.
Brody was still having some bleeding seven hours afterwards, but seemed to be doing fine. The tooth came out root and all. Tooth fairy will be coming early for him! Only have to wait, oh, about five more years until his tooth comes in. And i have already forewarned Bob, I will be having a tooth party when that tooth decides to comes in. So until then, he will look like a hillbilly. But a cute hillbilly!
And Morgan was an awesome big sister today! She doted on him before and after her soccer game as well as after her nap. She played with him for a very long time! I was very proud of her. Lots of giggles between the two of them. Made a mommy's heart grow beyond belief!!
Thankfully Brody is sleeping soundly. Let's hope Bob and I do too. Let's just say, it was a long and stressful day...we are both worn out. I am glad he decided to take the day off and be home with us.
Morgan had a soccer game and from what I understand, it was very chilly. Her team hasn't had the best of track records this season...but she loves to play.

Tubes and Read Right Run Marathon.
Brody has tubes put in this week after having six ear infections since November. When the doctor finished the surgery, he came out and said there was a lot of fluid in his ears, so this should help him feel better. Like most of us, Brody didn't do well coming out of anesthesia. It took him about an hour to get his head clear and fussing the whole time. Poor baby. But after two naps for the day,
he was back to his old self again. And since the tubes, he's been sleeping through the night again! Yeah for Mom...oh I mean...Yeah for Brody!!
Today Morgan participated in the Read, Right and Run 1.2 mile Marathon in Forest Park. We had thunderstorms early in the morning and I wasn't sure if the race would take place or not. But by the time we arrived at the park, the storms were gone. AND THERE WAS MUD!! Let's just say Morgan and I were a bit of a mess by the time the morning was finished. Anyway, they had a closed off course in which only the children were able to run on. I think the announcer said there were 4000 kids participating this year. Morgan has been practicing for this marathon every Tuesday after school in her fitness club, knowing at the end of the session there would be this race. She was one of 25 or so from her school that participated. She was having fun with her friends and I know she enjoys running. I think she enjoys short distance more but she did great! I am proud of her!

Boomer weekend and then some
Friday- Morgan was so excited...she said to Bob...do you know that today will be the last day we don't have a dog!! He laughed and said... you are right!!
Saturday- Brody went to Mom's for the day and Morgan and I drove to Blue Springs to pick up the puppy. Morgan had her Leapster and her DSi to keep her occupied and she took a nap along the way, but I kept hearing...are we almost there yet?? We finally arrived to Pleasant Hill, MO and there was our little Boomer. He was so doggone cute, I wanted to kiss his face off. Mom and Dad were in the front yard as well as two black siblings, same dad, different moms. Morgan was more enamored with the black puppies than she was Boomer as he was a little more subdued than the two black ones. I chatted with the owners for a bit, got a little history and off we went. On the car ride home, Morgan was thrilled, Boomer snuggled with her all the way home, sometimes crawling up in her lap. Boomer did well settling in just fine here at home...now we just have to work on potty training and crate training.
Sunday-Let's just say Boomer had two baths this morning...LOVE crate/potty training!! NOT
Val asked if I could help her for a bit at Rams sports park for a few hours of fitness in which, Rock workout., www.rockworkout.com
her studio was affiliated. It was fun! We had a good time. We set up an obstacle course, Val had the every so lovely TRX suspension training (great for working out and finding muscles you didn't know you had) and a mini kettle balls session. Each area we had about six minutes to have the ladies go through the obstacle course, learn/try out the TRX and the kettle bells. It was a good time and showed me that I need to start working out again!!The kiddos were home with Boomer and sitter Missy for the day. I thought it was funny as I was driving Missy home, (age 14) she said to me, I don't know how you do it all day long! They wore me out!! Missy, the kids and Boomer survived! Thanks Missy!
Oh my, I now remember why having a puppy is like having another kid! OY! The all night whining in the kennel...good grief and the potty training!! This too shall pass, this too shall pass...I will get sleep again!! But thankfully he's very sweet and low key and so doggone cute...he will get through this as will I!
Morgan went to the Shriner's Circus with Oma and spent the night. Every once in a while, I would receive a photo text from Mom. Morgan with her face painted like a tiger, Morgan with the clown and Morgan holding a python. Wait a minute, what? Yes, you read that right, my daughter holding a python!! (Notice my buttons are bursting!!) She's NOT scared of snakes!!

Monday.... Boomer figured out to make it upstairs. Down the stairs...not yet. Haven't made that hurdle just yet. Morgan and I took Boomer vet today. He's 17.5 pounds at 10 weeks. The vet said at four months we should double his weight and that's how big he will be at full grown size! Walks are hysterical with Boomer. He walks behind me and about every 50 feet or so, he just plops down in the grass. Did I mention how laid back he is? It's hard to believe that he's a puppy. He is probably the most laid back 10 week old puppy I have ever seen.
Bob and I took the day off and spent most of the day working in the yard since it was so nice out. While the Mazda was in the shop for an oil change and tire rotation, Bob and I test drove a 2011 Camaro SS. MAN OH MAN...that baby got up and walked!! Woo hoo!! I definitely felt the need for speed! Tight steering, the power under that hood and the suspension is so much better than the older versions. You didn't feel every bump, crack or pebble in the road like you did on the older Camaros. It was sweet!! I'll take a convertible for Christmas please.
Then I got back in my Highlander and was Mom again!Brody has made it now three days without crying while being dropped off a daycare! Woo hoo! He's officially been there a month now. Now if his sleeping during the day would get back somewhat in sync, that would be even better. He used to take 2 two hour naps at home with me. At daycare, most days he takes a forty minute nap. Then he's OH so pleasant to be around when he gets home!! Let the whining begin! Thankfully 6pm bedtime comes quickly on those days.
Tuesday- First and foremost, Happy Birthday HUBBY!!
Boomer slept through the night and the crate was poop free!! Woo hoo!! He still got a bath this morning as he smelled of urine...but hey! Baby steps. But the best part!!! NO WHINING FROM HIM all night!!! Right now, he's asleep at my feet while I type! What a good boy.

March 12, 2011
Mom came over this weekend and made this beautiful valance for the living room. I finally have big girl curtains in that room! Woo hoo!! Thank you so much Mom!
On a sad note, Brody has yet another ear infection so it looks like tubes for him too. :(
Mom was talking to Morgan before dinner tonight and Morgan gave her some interesting information, I hadn't heard before. She has a desire to play the violin! News to me! I am thrilled, just shocked! Now the decision, piano or violin lessons??? I know her school doesn't have orchestra/band until sixth grade. But I am glad to hear she does have interest in playing music.
Soccer practice starts this week! Stay tuned for pictures from the games! Yes, I will remember the camera this year! Another year on a co-ed league!
We have decided to have a stay 'cation this year. We will probably take Morgan and maybe the new puppy (more on that in a minute) on a float trip during the week and hit some things closer to home in which we haven't found the time to do just yet. Magic House, maybe the City Museum and possibly the Transportation Museum too. If anyone has some suggestions, feel free to pass along.
New puppy...due home next weekend. We were originally going to get a black lab puppy but something just didn't feel right, so at last minute, CHANGE!! I found a Goldendoodle who we all just fell in love with his little face. We have already named him Boomer and Morgan and I will head down Highway 70 next weekend to pick him up.

And now...here's some of the rest of the show
And now...here's some of the rest of the show
Wake Up Jeff! Wake up Brody
Brody loves the Wiggles. This is his latest. He tries to act like Jeff Wiggle, the purple Wiggle. Jeff falls asleep quite frequently. The first video, watch Jeff...the second video is Brody's rendition of the same thing! It's very cute!
